What this simply means is:

You may reprint portions of (or, hell, even entire gigantic chunks!) of these works in your own blogs, review-sites, necronomica/Books of Shadows provided that I, Derek C. F. Pegritz, am noted as being the author and you link back to me. Any commercial printing/duplication/etc. must, of course, be cleared with me so I can gets paid!

But, even more importantly, you can write your own Footnotes! If you wish to contribute your own take on a story found here—perhaps by writing a prequel involving a character’s early life, or an alternate view of events from a different perspective—then by all means do so! Feel free to send me copies of or links to your work; if I like them enough, I may very well include them here.

But, for the Other Gods’ sake, do not call what you are doing “fan-fic.” Fan-fic is for those who want to write about Harry Potter getting lewd with that Malfoy kid. Any and all derivative works involving Cthulhu sex or drawn-out scenes depicting Nyarlathotep in compromising situations will be summarily damned using the Fourth Quantumnal Dispersal Ritual on page 641 of the John Dee Necronomicon, and their authors given over to the Xinaians for their “experiments in comparative anatomy.”
